Carolyn Jean (Baker) Marcocci of Dudley passed away on Thursday, April 27th at the Allegheny Lutheran Home in Hollidaysburg.

 

Born on a farm in New Enterprise, she was a daughter of the late Gerald Elwood and Ada Mae (Stiffler) Baker.

 

On October 28, 1962 in Bedford, she was united in marriage to Gaudio “Guy” Marcocci who preceded her in death on April 20, 2015.

 

She was known as a giving person who’s kindness and attention to detail is a quality that she will be remembered for. She truly loved the people of the Broad Top and the Cove who stepped up following the passing of her husband.

 

Following graduation from high school she attended the York Business School gaining education which led to her employment at the Bedford County Courthouse in the tax assessment office until the birth of her son Todd.

 

Surviving are a Son Todd Marcocci of West Chester, Daughter Elizabeth A. Marcocci of Carlisle, Son Christopher W. Marcocci of Westport, CT, Granddaughter Lauren (Shontz) Bruce wife of Justin of Harrisburg, Great Grandchildren, Isaac A. and Ryan C. Bruce of Harrisburg, Sisters Darlene Kagarise of Woodbury, and Janet Wyles, wife of Russell of Roaring Springs, Brothers Dale Baker of New Enterprise and Richard Baker husband of Beth also of New Enterprise, as well as numerous Nieces an Nephews.

 

Friends will be received on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 6-9 PM and again on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 10-10:30 AM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. Broad Top City.

 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday May 2, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. with Father Matthew Baum officiating. Interment will take place in the Ave Marie Cemetery, Dudley, PA.

 

All are welcome to join family and friends at the Immaculate Conception Church Social Hall for a gathering meal following the graveside service, where Carolyn’s famous Red Cake will be served as part of the meal.

May she rest in peace. Our condolences to her son, Todd and her stepchildren, Beth and Christopher. She will be missed by our families. She left us too soon. Heaven has gained another Angel this past week. We will never forget Carolyn, We will love her forever.

Jean was always beautiful. Despite her health limitations, she continued to do a lot for her mom, Ada. I wish I could have gotten to know her better.

May the God of all comfort give you His peace and hope as you go through the grieving process. Todd, even though you are now an orphan, remember you are never really alone. You are in my thoughts and prayer.
