Phyllis Arlene Rogers, 88, of Hickory Hill Road, Saxton, passed away at UPMC Altoona Hospital on Saturday Oct, 21, 2017.
Born in Newburg, PA. on May 31, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Elizabeth (Roche) Jones.
On June 12, 1949 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Franklin Rogers who preceded her in death on July 7, 2015.
She was primarily a homemaker and was a loving wife and mother who thought the world of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, going to auctions and listening to gospel music.
She is survived by a son Ben, husband of Beth Rogers and a daughter Diane wife of Ron Bivens, along with grandchildren, Kendra Botstein, Ron Bivens, Rebekah Rogers, and Taylor Bivens, and great grandchildren, Myiah McElwee, Jude Botstein, Calin Love, and Sydney Botstein. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Vicky and an infant, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 2 PM with Pastor Steve Oberman officiating, friends will be received from noon until the hour of service. Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F Cemetery, Broad Top City, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Six Mile Run Vol. Fire Co. Six Mile Run, Pa. 16679.
