Marian Elva (Defibaugh) Everetts, 91, of Cooks Road, Robertsdale, went to be with the Lord surrounded by family on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 10:20 AM at UPMC Altoona Hospital, Altoona, PA.
Born on July 16, 1926 in White Church, the daughter of the late Howard Allison and Elsie Gertrude (Noel) Defibaugh. She was married to the late Mack Lee Everetts on October 20, 1946 at the Rays Cove Christian Church by the Rev. Coy Foor. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2011. They were married for 64 years.
She is survived by four daughters, Bonnie L., wife of Alan Fessler of Stafford VA; Connie L. Everetts of Whitesboro, NY; Marianne, wife of Ronald Coffman of Saxton; Melody A., wife of John Hampson of Hollidaysburg; two sons, David H. Everetts of Cooks; and Samuel G. Everetts of Syracuse, NY. She is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one sister, Clara Hastings, who resides at the Village at Morrisons Cove.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Everetts, a son, Mack L. Everetts, Jr., an infant son, two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, along with sisters, Verna, Dorothy, and Ruth and a brother Robert.
She was a 1945 graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School and was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene for many years and later attended the Trough Creek Valley Community Church. She loved her God, her church, her family, and friends. She loved sending and receiving greeting cards, and would call and sing Happy Birthday, on your special day. She enjoyed preserving, canning, and freezing, from her garden, and took pride in her flower gardens, which she tended to as recent as last year. Over the years, she hunted mushrooms, and enjoyed fishing the many local streams and had a favorite spot for fishing along the Greater Trough Creek. She watched the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Penn State Nittany Lions, with great enthusiasm.
She spent many long hours collecting and organizing information of significant events, places, people, and friends of the Broad Top Area. She had a great interest in the history of White Church and of the White Church School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed and valued the many family gatherings and visits by many who stopped by the house when visiting the area. She recently took a trip to visit her 95-year old dear friend, Shirley Brattle, on Long Island, NY, they were the wives of World War II Army buddies.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the Trough Creek Community Church, in Todd at 2:30 PM with Pastor Dr. Tim Martin. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in the Evans Cemetery, Six Mile Run, PA.

Dear Everetts Family, We are very sorry for your loss, but excited that we will meet Mom Everetts on the other side of Life. Please know we have loved her and your family since we were Pastors at Broad Top Church of the Nazarene back in the 1970's. God Bless you all. We expect to meet and love all of you over home too.
