Tyler Scott Runk, 27, of Woodbury, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday January 9, 2024 in Michigan. He was born March 29, 1996 in Lewistown, son of Steven and Jodi (Bucknell) Runk who survive in Port Charlotte, FL. On August 12, 2017 in Broad Top, he married his high school sweetheart, Caitlin (Villa) Runk, who survives at home with their 2 boys.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his two sons: Camden Ray and Jackson Michael, who he loved with all of his heart. He is also survived by three siblings: Stephanie Hess of Saxton, Ryan Hess of Philadelphia, and Shane Runk of Cassville; maternal grandparents Robert and Mary Ellen Bucknell of Sebring, FL, paternal grandmother Shirley Runk of Cassville; nieces and nephews Lillie and Kasen Miller and Peyton and Hudson Gartland; in-laws who loved him as their own; his favorite four-legged girl, Luna; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his best bud Butch Campbell, paternal grandfather Lester Runk, and cousin Jimmy Runk.
Tyler was a 2014 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School. He was currently employed as a pipeline welder at TC Energy in Lagrange, IN for the past 4 years.
Tyler enjoyed golfing, hunting, going camping, day trading and learning about the stock market, fantasy football, -playing video games, and spending time with family and friends. Tyler will be remembered for his hard work ethic, his ambition and motivation, his kindness and smile, and for the amount that he loved his family. His legacy will live on through his two boys, who will most of all miss him teaching them new things, going golfing together, playing games with him, and his hugs.
Friends will be received on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 11 AM – 2 PM at the Raven Run Church of the Brethren, Saxton, PA. A Memorial service will follow the visitation starting at 2 PM also at the church with Pastor Rob Reed officiating.
