Donald James Fessler, 62, of Six Mile Run, PA, passed away at his home on Friday, July 18, 2014 Born in Saxton, PA on March 16, 1952, a son of the late Winifred "Wink" (Fox) and Samuel R. Fessler. On May 22, 1993 he was united in marriage to Donna Lou (Weaver) Fessler for 21 years who survives at home. He worked as a Equipment Operator, Carpenter, Cement Finisher and was a "jack of all trades" He held memberships at the Six Mile Run American Legion, Broad Top American Legion, Saxton VFW, Saxton Sportsman Assn., and enjoyed spending time with his friends at Al's bar. He also enjoyed hunting deer, turkey, and rabbit with the Fessler Gang. He is survived by three sons Jesse, husband of Susan Fessler, of Saxton, PA; Jason Fessler and Companion Samantha, of Saxton, PA; Shawn Fessler, of Six Mile Run, PA; and a step son,C.J., husband of Trisha Childers, of Dudley, PA; also surviving are four sisters, Nancy Baker, Shirley McFarland, Gladys Erwin, Mary Long, all of Saxton, PA; and a brother, Charles, husband of Kim Fessler, of Dudley, PA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel R. Fessler Jr. The family will be recieving friends on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 11 AM-12 Noon at the Six Mile Run Fire Hall. Memorial Service will be held at the Six Mile Run Fire Hall, Six Mile Run, PA, at 12 Noon on Friday, July 25th, with Pastor John Shubert officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. P.O. Box 214 Broad Top City, PA 16621 to assist family with final expenses.
