JANET LOUISE (BLACK) BOOHER Known for her cooking and baking talents Janet Louise Booher, 81, of Three Springs, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2015 At the Fulton County Medical Center, McConellsburg. Born in Dudley, PA on January 12, 1934, a daughter of the late Martha E. (Hile) and Chester "Tots" Black. On January 12, 1952 in Winchester, Va. she was united in marriage to Dallas H. Booher of Three Springs. She was a 1951 Graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church Three Springs, PA . She worked for a number of years in the shoe manufacturing industry and last retired from Woodland Retirement Center. Throughout her life she was affiliated with the Three Springs Rebekah Lodge, Grace Church Ladies Aid Society, and the Three Springs Senior Center. Surviving are two daughters, Debra Messner, of Huntingdon; Della M. Werner, wife of Edward of Mapleton Depot; two sons John W., husband of Patti Booher, of Cranberry Twp.; Daryl L., husband of Jodi Booher, of Three Springs; two sisters, Lois J. Cook, and Jonnilu Everhart, both of Albion. and a brother, Daniel R. "Jerry" Black, of Mars; She is also survived by grandchildren, Jessica Whitsel, Wesley Booher, Ashleigh Messner, Alexis Booher, Ryan Booher, Glenn Werner, and Makenzie Booher. Great-Grandchildren, Skyler Messner, Jocelynn Whitsel, Brook Messner, Patton Messner, Justin Whitsel, Sawyer Werner, and Marshall Booher as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Crossview Missional Church, Saltillo, on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 1 PM with pastor Dan Mansberger officiating. The family will receive friends from Noon until the hour of service In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care Canopy, 214 Peach Orchard Road, McConnellsburg, PA. 17233.
