Roger Anthony Fitzhugh, 55, of Saxton, passed away at his home on November 10, 2017.
Born in Fredricksburg, Va. on July 2, 1962, he was a son of Mary C. Bailey of Ashland Va. and the Late James C. Bailey.
He was a member of the Saxton Vol. Fire Co., Fire Police, drove ambulance and was a first responder. He was also a member of the Saxton Sportsman Assn.
He was united in marriage to Betty (Higgins) Fitzhugh on October 6, 1990 in Ashland. VA. which produced a wonderful 27 year marriage.
Along with his mother and wife he is survived by a daughter, Johnna Fitzhugh, who is a junior at Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, PA., Mother-In-Law Barbara Higgins, Brother-In-Law Frank Higgins,  Neice Julie Higgins, Great Nephew John Jamison, Aunt Lillian "Branch" Davis, and his Furry Granddaughter Dezzi-Rae.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a Brother-In-Law John Henry Higgins.
He was touched by all the overwhelming support and help he received from all his friends and would say, "What a great community we live in." Roger and his family would like to thank everyone for all you did. God Bless You!
Friends will be received on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 1-2 PM with a memorial service being held at 2 PM and a meal to follow all being held at the Saxton Vol. Fire Co.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Vincent Depaul, 524 Mifflin St., Huntingdon, PA. 16652 or to the Saxton Vol. Fire Company 504 8th St. Saxton, PA. 16678
