Ronald L. Dixon, 79, of Six Mile Run, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wood, PA. on January 13, 1938, he was a son of the late Carl and Tressa (Barber) Dixon.
On October 1, 1994, he was united in marriage to Janet (Neuder) Dixon who survives at home.
He was a 1956 graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School and had 20 years with Cove Shoe Factory, worked on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Tunnel Construction, and retired from working on the pipeline.
He was a member of the Six Mile Run Sons of the American Legion and the Broad Top American Legion.He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Along with his wife Janet, he is survived by a daughter, Lucinda Grove of Olathe, Kansas, sons Ronald Gregory Dixon, husband of Chris, Riddlesburg, Steven Rhoat, husband of Kelly, Robertsdale, William Sphar, husband of Rachel, Montana, grandchildren, Ryan, Rick, Renee’, Brian, Nicholas, Steven, Conner, Mason, Abigail, great grandchildren, Lillian, Lydia, Rylan, Paiton, Dakota, brother, William Dixon, husband of Colleen, Six Mile Run, and a sister, Janice Mathers, wife of Jeff, Altoona.
Friends will be received on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. with a funeral service following at 7 PM with Pastor Don Evans officiating.
