Alice Kay (Howe) Lemin, 82, formerly of Broad Top City and Ohio, died Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Homewood at Martinsburg.

She was born November 11, 1935, in Robertsdale, PA, the daughter of Charles C. and Nora K. (Sipes) Howe.  She graduated from Robertsdale H.S. in 1953.  On October 23, 1954, she married Ronald C. Lemin, Sr. and they moved to Ohio where they worked and raised their family.  She worked at various places as a secretary, with her last 20 years of employment being at Ricerca, an animal research company.  Alice was a member of the Professional Secretaries Assoc. and, in 1992, she was Secretary of the Year, Great Lakes Division, and also was one of three nominees for National Secretary of the Year.

Her enjoyment in life included reading, church activities, quilting and, of course, her family. She was a member of the Watson and Black Post 126 Ladies Auxiliary in Broad Top, the Broad Top Coal Miners Museum, the Broad Top Parks and Recreation Association (where she served as vice president), the Huntingdon County Sports Hall of Fame, and the Pulmonary Artery Hypertension Association.  While a member of the Broad Top Church of God, she served as
Church Secretary, Council Secretary, leader of an adult Sunday School Class, and was one of the Golden Girls.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Ronald Clair Lemin, Sr., two sons, Ronald Clair Lemin, Jr. and wife Catherine, of Bangor, Maine, and David Frank Lemin, and wife Lilly, of Painesville, Ohio, 3 grandchildren, April Llano, Katie Graham, and Elizabeth Lemin, 3 great grandchildren, Serena Llano, Jaden Llano, and Tavian Llano.  She is also survived by sisters Martha A. Rupel, wife of John, Richmond, Va., Jane E. Murphy, wife of Bill, Richmond, Va., Rebecca G. LaDu, wife of Bill, Asheville, NC, and brothers, Gary O. Howe, husband of Irene, Saxton, Reynauld D. Howe, husband of Dorothy, Omaha, NE, David L. Howe, husband of Connie, Richmond, Va., and Charles R. Howe, husband of Linda, Richmond, VA., many nieces and nephews, and an aunt, Ada Ruth (Howe) Yingling, Clearfield, PA.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel at Homewood at Martinsburg with Pastor Jerry McCuller officiating.  Friends will be received at 12:00 noon. Private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, 801 Roeder Rd, Ste.1000, Silver Spring, MD, 20910.
