Ronald D. “Denny” McKnight, 85, of Enid Mt. Road, Six Mile Run, Went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Born on February 13, 1933 in Six Mile Run, he was a son of the late Charles and Margaret (Evans) McKnight.
On June 13, 1955, in Baltimore, MD he was united in marriage to June (Foster) McKnight who survives him at their home.
During his life was a Tank Sargent in the US Army during the Korean War and then he worked as a Pug Mill Operator for Lock Insulator in Baltimore, MD. He was a director at the Six Mile Run Legion and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Along with his wife he is survived by a son Ken McKnight, husband of Karen of Hopewell, a granddaughter, Kimberly Rosenburg, and two great grandchildren, Maggie and Colin Rosenburg, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family being preceded in death by brothers, Pat, Gene, Daryl, Infant baby Frankie, and sisters, Reddie, Honey, Betsy, Levon, Frannie and Virginia.
A Memorial Service will be held by the family on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Raystown Brethren Church at 10 AM with Pastor Alfred Chamberlain Officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Broad Top Area Honor Guard.
