Betsy was a West Chester University student teacher in my classroom at Hilltop School. She quickly gained the respect and admiration of all the students with her winning smile, intense enthusiasm, effective teaching strategies, and sincere concern their welfare. When I knew her as a young teacher, Betsy loved and was devoted to Ted and her mother, Kathy, and later to her dear girls. My sincere sympathy goes out to them and all the friends and relatives Betsy has left behind.

Betsy was one of the nicest people we ever met. She instantly became family. She treated everyone she met as though they were life long friends. Always outgoing and making sure everyone felt at home. Many of our greatest memories are with Ted, Betsy, Teddi and Lexi. Long drives looking for Bears, Elk and Deer or whatever crossed our path, from snowmobiling to boating, watching Penn State Football and her awesome chili, to just hanging out, she always made sure everyone felt welcome and had fun! These moments we will truly treasure! Our journeys on dirt roads spotlighting and talking when we were supposed to be looking as years pass by will always make us smile and will forever be in our hearts!!

Betsy and I were friends back in 8th and 9th grade while she lived in Florida. So many fun memories together. We lost touch when she moved and recently connected again on social media. Betsy was always full of life...I have thought about her often over the years. Sending much love to you, Betsy, and to your family. You will be missed.

My fondest memories of Chichester Middle School were the years I taught with Betsy. We both taught 5th grade. She was the Team Leader; the Science teacher & she was my friend. At the time, we, along with Colleen Biddle, were the young teachers:) Betsy was always full of life, with quick wit. In 1998, we were both pregnant with our daughters and we shared many "mom" stories...all precious memories. I will never forget them or her.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Ted and their beautiful daughters. I they meant the world to Betsy. May you find peace in your hearts knowing that.
Love,
Kathy Bradley

Please accept my sincere sympathy to Ted, Teddie, Lexie, and Cathy. Betsy was a student teacher in my class at Hilltop School, and she quickly gained the respect and admiration of the students and faculty with her enthusiasm, teaching skills, and winning manner with the children and other teachers. She continued to serve the Chichester community as a teacher at the Middle School until she and Ted realized their dream in western Pennsylvania. Whenever I hear a Miranda Lambert song, I will always think of dear Betsy.
