Mae Marie (Brode) Johnson, 79, of Saxton, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 7, 2019.
Born in Little Valley (Saxton RD) on June 17, 1940, a daughter of the late, Orbison Charles and Ruth LaRue (Carberry) Brode.
She was united in marriage to Walter Johnson on August 7, 1993 in Elkton, MD. Mr. Johnson survives at home.
She was a 1958 graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School and was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones, going to gospel hymn sings, listening to Elvis, traveling to country music festivals, stopping at all the yard sales, looking at pictures, and playing games on her computer. She is known in her family as the Scrabble champion. She also enjoyed going to the local carnivals and fairs and being known throughout the community as Gram and Aunt Mae.
Along with her husband, she is survived by a son, William K. Brown, husband of Carolyn (Smith), Sister, Donna Lemin, Sister, Ruthann DeLuca, wife of Malvin, granddaughters, Amber Lucko, wife of Robert, Shauna Donovan, wife of Ryan, and Kaylin Gambol, wife of Paul. Also surviving are seven great grandchildren, as well as her mother-in-law Laura Johnson who resided with her.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Omar C., Ellis E. “Tiny”, and Vaughn O. Brode.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 6-8 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11 AM with Pastor Kathy Speck officiating.
Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City.

I 'm not able to be there but my thoughts and prayers will be with you all. She will always be in my heart, so many stories I have with her. Never to be forgotten. I LOVE YOU AUNT MAE.
