Pamela Karen McDonald, 63, of Coalmont, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at her home.
Born on February 5, 1958, in Manhatten, KS, a daughter of the late James Boyd and Deanna Marie (Weaver) Allison.
She was married on May 27, 1978 at the Stonerstown Church of the Brethren to Gregory B. McDonald who survives at their home.
She was a 1976 graduate of Tussey Mt. High School and then attended the School of Computer Technology in Pittsburgh. Her employment included various bank teller and secretarial positions, Owner/Operator of McDonalds Greenhouse for 10 years, and Secretary for Long’s Outpost Inc. for 20 years.
A member of the Stonerstown Church of the Brethren, she served as Board Chair, Chorister, Ministry Commission, Board of Christian Education, and Camp Blue Diamond Representative. She was a member of the Bedford Springs Chapter #41 of the Order of Eastern Star and was on the Camp Blue Diamond Board of Directors.
Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She also focused so much of her energy on serving God and His Church. She loved singing, church camp, and teaching Sunday School.
She was dedicated to her family in every way possible and will be missed by all who loved her.
Along with her husband, she is survived by daughters, Stacey (McDonald), wife of Eric Bowser, Shawna (McDonald), wife of Robert Koehle, grandchildren, Gavin and Brayden Koehle, Eli and Anna Bowser, brother, John, husband of Carol (Spagnoli) Allison, sister-in-law Jamie (Kuklo) Allison, brother and sister-in-laws, David and Pamela I. (Brown) McDonald, nieces and nephews, John “Jack”, husband of Jennifer (Sponsler) Allison, Elizabeth Ice, Andrew Allison, Joseph Allison, Brandon Allison, Amanda Allison, Chelsey Allison, and Mitchell, husband of Gabrielle McDonald.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Allison, and Parent-In-Laws, James and Shirley (Bailey) McDonald.
Friends will be received on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 9:30 – 11 AM at the Stonerstown Church of the Brethren where a memorial service will follow with Pastor Mary Garvey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either the Stonerstown Church of the Brethren, 14th and Norris St., Saxton, PA. 16678 or to Camp Blue Diamond, P.O. Box 240, Petersburg, PA. 16669.

I'm deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Pam. There are places in our hearts that can only be filled with memories. All of my memories with my cousin Pam are wonderful happy times. May the family find comfort knowing that thoughts and prayers are with you as you journey through this difficult time. May you find peace knowing there is one more angel in heaven.
