Aileen V. (Smith) Pittman

Aileen V. Pittman, 92, of Hopewell, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 26, 2021.
Born in Hopewell on August 16, 1929, a daughter of the late Richard and Louella (Foster) Smith.
On December 15, 1952 in McConnellsburg she was united in marriage to Grant Pittman who preceded her in death on March 3, 2006.
She was of the Brethren in Christ Faith and was primarily a Homemaker.
Surviving are daughters, Shirley Morningstar, Jamie Rhoat, wife of Jeffrey, son, Michael Pittman, grandchildren, Jessica Fessler, wife of Thad, Emily Morningstar and companion, Jamie Brooks, Chad Morningstar, husband of Rebecca, Jeffrey Rhoat Jr., husband of Bethanni, Jordan Pittman, husband of Julie, granddaughter-in-law, Kaitlyn Pittman, great grandchildren, Molly La Porte, Isabella Day, Lilly Fessler, Noah Fessler, Thaddeus Fessler, Ivie Rhulman, Chad Morningstar, Abby Morningstar, Dakota Pittman, Emma Pittman, Noah Pittman, Matthew Pittman, and great-greatgrandchildren, Oliver Day, Harmony Rhoat, Heidi Rhoat, and Jeffery Rhoat, nephews, Ronald and Dwayne Smith and Emily Grace.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons, Robert G. Pittman, Dennis R. Pittman, Jacob Pittman, grandsons, Michael Pittman, Jacob G. Pittman, and a son-in-law, Robert L. Morningstar as well as 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
Friends will be received on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 10 AM-12 PM at the Safe Harbor Church, James Creek, PA with a funeral service immediately following at 12 PM with Pastor Dean Thomas Officiating.
Interment will take place in the Shermans Valley Brethren in Christ Church Cemetery, Hopewell, PA.
