Allen W. "Babe" Jones

Allen W. "Babe" Jones, 83, of Dudley, passed away at his home on Monday, May 13, 2024. 

He was born in Dudley on May 17, 1940, a son of the late, John J. and Marion E. (Geier) Jones.

On November 19, 1966, he was united in marriage to Virginia "Faye" (Aller) Jones at the Stonerstown Church of the Brethren. Mrs. Jones survives at their home.

He attended the Carbon Twp. School, was of the Catholic faith, served his country in the United States Army as a PV2, and worked as a service station operator and security guard at SETON Co.

Along with his wife he is survived by a daughter, Lisa Hess, wife of Bob of Dudley, grandchildren, Laura Hess-Steele, wife of Adam of Huntingdon, Jessica Curfman, wife of Collin of Shade Gap, Bobby Hess and fiancé, Tess Drenning of Hopewell, Josh Hess, husband of Cheyenne of Roaring Spring, Ben Hess and fiancé Brandi Madden of Saxton, Amy Hess-Musselman, wife of Garrett of Altoona, great grandchildren, Benton Steele, Riley, Grace, Emma, & Kennedy Curfman, Bruno and Lucas Hess, Lillian & Daniel Hess, Adalynn & Amelia Hess, brother Terry L. Jones, husband of Janice of Dudley, niece Denise Jones of Broad Top City, nephew, Keith Jones and his daughter Melissa Jones of Dudley, as well as his chosen family, Penni L. (Neuder) Snyder and daughter Mala of Halifax and Loren and Tina Wilkins of Dudley.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John D. Jones, husband of Audrey (Heath) Jones also deceased, a sister, Jean (Jones) Hedge, wife of Telford also deceased.

He enjoyed the greatest blessings of life, his family and friends.

All services will be private at the convenience of the family.
