Barbara Ann (Williams) Ramper, 88, of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Wood,
Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at UPMC
Altoona Hospital after a brief battle with heart failure. Born on March 7, 1937, in Defiance,
Pennsylvania, to Gussie Williams and Anna Genevieve “Dade” (Heath) Williams, Barbara
attended school in Robertsdale and married Donald Eugene “PeeWee” Ramper on December
28, 1953. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, son Wesley Ramper,
granddaughter Logan Ramper, and sister Verdith Mykut.
Barbara is survived by her three children: Donald Eugene Ramper Jr. and his wife Robin of
Hagerstown, MD, with their children Magda (Maggie) Waldron, Keenya Maddox, and JoAnn
Daniels; Cindy Musser and her husband Jeff of Myrtle Beach, SC, with their children Brandon
and Paul Musser; and Lesa Dively and her husband Scott of Hollidaysburg, PA, with their
children Courtney Lane and Tanner Lashinsky. She also leaves behind siblings Sydney Dick,

grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy.
Throughout her life, Barbara was a devoted homemaker and caregiver who touched many
lives with her warmth, kindness, and generosity. She was well known for her cooking,
especially her signature dishes and desserts, and had a passion for service and community
involvement. Barbara was a lifetime member and past president of the Society of Farm
Women of Pennsylvania, had served as vice president of the American Legion Auxiliary
Watson and Black Post 126, and was a longtime director of the Pennsylvania Lions Club
MD14. Despite never holding a driver’s license, she enjoyed traveling extensively by bus
tours with friends.
A graveside service and celebration of life luncheon will be held on August 30 at 11:00 AM at
the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Broad Top, Pennsylvania, with the service officiated by Pastor
Jeffrey Musser. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Broad Top
Food Bank, a cause close to Barbara’s heart. Her final act of generosity was the gift of life
through organ donation.
