Blaine Eugene Corbin, 97, 3003 Chapel Hill Road, Huntingdon, died Wednesday, April 12, 2023.
Born Feb. 11, 1926, in Mount Union, he was a son of the late George and Mary B. (McKinney) Corbin. He was united in marriage to the former Delores L. Donahue, who preceded him in death April 13, 2008.
Mr. Corbin is survived by two sons, Randy Blaine Corbin and wife, Linda, and Bryan Paul Corbin and wife, Florence; five grandchildren, Jennifer Freeland (Jeremy), Marcia Ashlock (Justin), Aaron Corbin (Anne), Jonathan Corbin (Allison) and Kristen Quinn (Peter); and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was the last surviving member of his family being preceded in death by his two sisters, Marcia Corbin and Arlene Corbin Warsing.
Mr. Corbin attended the Christian and Missionary Church in Huntingdon and served in different capacities over the years.
He was a combat veteran and took part in the American invasion of Okinawa in the United States Navy during World War II, having earned the American Area Campaign Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon with one bronze star and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one bronze star.
Mr. Corbin was a 1944 graduate of Huntingdon High School.
He was a commercial electrical contractor for over 60 years, as well as the past owner of Corbin Hardware and Corbin Family Cake and Steak restaurant in Huntingdon.
Mr. Corbin enjoyed playing golf and spending time with family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home, 5010 Railroad Ave., Broad Top City, with Dr. Randy Corbin officiating. Interment will be made in the Broad Top IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of Saturday's services.
