It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Carol
Ann Brown. Carol joined her Heavenly Father on March 21, 2025, at her home
in Robertsdale; she was 70 years old.
Carol was born in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania on December 10, 1954 to the
late Ray and Bertha Fessler, along with her twin, Wayne. She was a lifelong
resident of Robertsdale and attended Tussey Mountain High School in Saxton
and graduated in 1973.
In life, Carol was fortunate to inhabit several roles: daughter, sister, mother,
wife, grandmother, and caregiver. She became a mother on January 25,
1976, when she gave birth to her son, Thad Michael. She met her husband,
Larry Brown, soon after, and the two married on September 13, 1980. She
gave birth to her second child, Jamie Ellen, just five days after her twenty-
seventh birthday, December 15, 1981.
Carol loved Larry and her children deeply, and one of her greatest joys in life
was being a grandmother. She would often spend her days with her
grandchildren - playing memory games or cards, singing nursery rhymes,
camping, pointing out birds, or walking down the lane and picking
raspberries or wildflowers with them. Her handmade gifts and canned goods
graced the homes of all those she loved.
Her maternal spirit and caring nature led her into a career tending the
elderly, and she retired from Woodland Retirement Center after many years
of service.
Carol was a devote Christian and spent many hours learning about her faith
and worshipping her God. Her bible was thoroughly marked and highlighted,
and she would often fill notebooks with biblical passages and quotes from
her favorite spiritual leaders.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Bertha Fessler, and her
nephew, Nathan Fessler.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; her children, Jamie (James) Foor and
Thad (Jessica) Fessler; her grandchildren, Jamison, Molly, Isabella, Lilly, Noah,
and Thaddeus; her great-grandson, Oliver; her siblings, Alan (Bonnie) Fessler,
Wayne (Sharon) Fessler, and Edward (Lorraina) Fessler; her sisters-in-law,
Janet (Sam) Ramper, Sandy (John) Neville, Brenda Ramper, and Sharon Hicks;
many special nieces and nephews; and numerous other family and friends.
Friends will be received at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 1-2 PM where a memorial service will be held immediately following at 2 PM with Pastor Dean Thomas officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. 5010 Railroad Ave. Broad Top City, PA. 16621. Online condolences can be made at www.caheathfh.com
