Cathy Ann "Katie" Raley, 73, of Bedford, formerly of Altoona and Robertsdale, went to Heaven on January 21, 2025 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Born in Huntingdon, PA on June 20, 1951, a daughter of the late Clarence and Betty (Dickenson) Rodgers.
She was united in marriage to Michael Glenn Raley on August 29, 1971. Mr. Raley survives at their home.
She was a 1970 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School, worked in the medical records department of Altoona Hospital for 12 years, and was of the Christian Faith. She was the sweetest person that anyone could have met. She was one-of-a-kind wife, mother, and grandmother. She and her husband were high school sweethearts and were married for almost 54 years. She adored her husband, kids, grandkids, and cherished spending time with them. Her vibrant spirit was infectious, and her smile and laughter were unforgettable. She was a very active person to say the least. She had a passion for running, golfing, bowling, hiking, and swimming. She was a fierce competitor no matter the game. She loved listening to music and dancing to her favorite tunes. She touched many lives with her generosity and kindness for everyone. Her relationship with the Lord was evident in her words, actions, and presence. She will be dearly missed by all.
Along with her husband she is survived by children, Angela Washington, Scott Raley, husband of Michelle, Travis Myers, husband of Lindsey, grandchildren, Marley Powell, wife of Bailey, Miles Washington, Maxwell Washington, Landon Myers, Noah Raley, Lucas Raley, great grandchildren, Maylin Powell, Zayvien Powell, Sevyn Powell, siblings, Steve Rodgers, Ruth Villa, Bill Rodgers, Kim Donaldson, and son-in-law Greg Washington.
Friends will be received on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 5-8 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. Broad Top City.
Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City.
