Charles E. Black

Charles E. "Blackie" Black, 71, of Waterfall, PA, died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Altoona Regional Hospital.

Charles was born in Coatesville, Pa on November 16, 1940, a son of the late Harriet and Ellis Black.

He was married to Judith A. (Myers) Black for 48 years.

He attended the Coatesville School District and active member of the Saxton VFW, Broad Top American Legion, Post 126, Amvets post 136

Mr. Black served in the US Army as a S/SGT -E6 during the Vietnam war, he received the Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart, 2 Bronze Stars, and Bronze Star/WV. He was of the Catholic Faith

Along with his wife at home, Charles is survived by

a daughter, Collette Wagman, of Lancaster, PA;

two sons Charles Black, of Hellam, PA; Brian Black, of Jim Thorpe, PA.

and the following grandchildren, Nicholle and Hillary Moyer, Charles, Noel, and Dominic Black along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles is also survived by a sister, Judy Zoccolo, Honey Brook, PA, and a brother,

George Black, of Delaware.
