Dennis Drenning Sr. Obituary

Dennis D. Drenning Sr., 67, of Broad Top City, passed away at his home on November 12, 2019 at 10:38 AM.
Born on September 13, 1952 in Huntingdon, he was a son of the late, Glenn and Ann Mae (Jays) Drenning.
On February 23, 1974, he was united in marriage to Kimberly (Rickabaugh) Drenning who survives at their home in Broad Top City.
He served in the US Army for 8 years receiving an honorable discharge. He then worked for GA & FC Wagman Bridge Construction until becoming disabled in 1987. He most recently held a position as a security guard at Lake Raystown Resort and Lodge. He was a member of the R.W. & BT. Fire Company where he drove ambulance and served as Chaplain. He also was a member of the Robertsdale Church of God where he was active in the choir and at one point was a member of God’s Singer Boys.
Along with his wife he is survived by a daughter, Tina Perry & companion James of East Berlin, PA., two sons, Jason Drenning & companion Keisha of Three Springs,  and Dennis D. “D.J.” Drenning Jr. & wife Lainie of Waterfall, a brother, David Drenning & wife Kathy of Broad Top City, and a sister, Jane Coy & husband Ed of Wood, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, but most of all 12 grandchildren that were his pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, several aunts and uncles, and two brothers.
Since February 3, 2012 Denny enjoyed life, thanks to receiving a new heart from his donor Jorge!
Friends will be received on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 6-8 PM and again on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 10-11 AM at the Robertsdale Church of God.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11 AM with Pastor Don Evans officiating at the Robertsdale Church of God.
Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City, PA. with full military honors conducted by the Broad Top Area Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the “Can Of Hope” % R.W.& BT Fire Co. P.O. Box 8, Robertsdale, PA. 16674.
