Earl F. McFarland

Earl F. “Shorty” McFarland, 83, of Clearville, passed away at home on Saturday, March 28, 2020.
Born in Charleston, WV. On May 2, 1936, a son of the late, Ralph Earl and Bernice Alma (Phillips) McFarland.
He entered the US Navy in Pittsburgh on July 30, 1957 and was honorably discharged on July 25, 1961 at the US Naval Station in Charleston, SC.
During his life he was a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Six Mile Run American Legion, Post #556, and was of the protestant faith.
He was formerly married to Myrtle (Foor) Miller who survives in Everett. Also surviving are sons, Randolph Scott McFarland, of Hopewell, Jeffery McFarland and companion Michelle of Altoona, Timothy and wife Ann of Clearville, sister Marge and husband Ray of Florida, sister Sandra of Altoona, 12 grandchildren, 26, great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, daughter in law Linda McFarland of Breezewood.
He was preceded in death by a son Robert McFarland, and brothers, Charles McFarland and Ralph George McFarland.
Due to the recent COVID-19 regulations and restrictions a memorial service will be planned and announced at a later date.
