Edna Faye Poleck, 92, of Wood, passed away at the home of her daughter in Saxton on Monday, May 11, 2020.
She was born on April 23, 1928, a daughter of the late Roy Calvin and Mary (Weist) Hinish.
On June 28, 1947, she was united in marriage to Mike Poleck at the Lewistown Lutheran Church. Mr. Poleck preceded her in death.
Her work included the sewing factory in Saxton and the Shoe factory in Wood as well as a housewife and mother.
She was a member of the Wood united Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for many years.
Surviving family members include; Son Rickie, Daughter Kathi, Granddaughters, Ricinda, Erin, Ashley, Lisa, Grandson Shawn, Great grandchildren, Benjamin, Lucy, Stephen, Kelcy, Victoria, Grayson, Great-Great Granddaughter, Ember Fae-Lin who was named after her great-great grandmother Edna.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a Son Michael, Sister Norma, Brother Clair, and a great granddaughter Kaitlin Renee Cunningham.
Our mother was a strong Christian lady, loving wife and Mother. She loved planting and gardening as well as feeding the birds from her hand. She also enjoyed doing puzzles and going for walks. She left her legacy and love of baking with her granddaughter Lisa.
Private Funeral Services will be held due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place.
Burial will also be private at the Sidling Hill Cemetery.
