Elsie (Young) Belcher

Elsie Jane (Young) Belcher, 77, of Altoona, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Born in Six Mile Run on December 31, 1946, a daughter of the late, Lorenzo and Tessie (Hughes) Young.

She was first married to Bruce C. Wilson, then to Charles Belcher, both preceded her in death.

Surviving are sons, Lew E. Wilson, husband of Christal, of Defiance, and Paul A. Wilson, husband of Penny, of Bedford, a daughter, Corina Wilson of Maddison, OH, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

During her life she worked at the sewing factories in Saxton and Everett, Cove Shoe, Bata Shoe, and then started her own catering and cleaning service.

At the request of the deceased there were no services held. Burial took place in the Blue Ridge Cemetery, Beckley, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Dakota's Army.
