Ethel Mae Ford, 91, of Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, formerly of Todd, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Westminster Woods.
Born on January 3, 1933 at her home in Little Valley, Saxton RD, a daughter of the late John E. and Nevada S. (Thomas) Bollman.
She had to quit school in her senior year to help support the family following an accident with her father. From the age of 16 to 22 she cut trees with her father and then for 20 years worked at Cove Shoe Factory in Martinsburg.
Ethel served as president of the Trough Creek Valley Fire Co. Auxiliary for 14 years. She was a strong believer in the Lord and was a Baptist in her early years and has been a long standing member of the Beavertown Church.
She was first married to Eugene Wilson and then later to Oliver Ford who both preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Brumbaugh, wife of Steven of Cassville, sons, Joe Bollman, husband of Candy of Quakertown, Larry Wilson, husband of Louise of Broad Top, Carl Wilson also of Broad Top, and Daniel Wilson of Mapleton Depot. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, sisters, Hanna McKnight, Margaret Cornelius, Elsie Gates, and Sally Hess.
Along with her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Wilson, brothers, David Bollman who died at birth, Paul Bollman and sisters Dolly Duvall, Ruth Tedrow, Vade Ruby, and Mary Weaver.
At the request of the deceased there will be no services held.
