Ethel Louise Kline, 71, of Hopewell, passed away at her home, surrounded by loved ones following a courageous battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and complications from from CLL.
Born in Hopewell on September 19, 1950, a daughter of the late Robert “Dube” and Beulah Jean Childers.
On May 18, 1985, she was united in marriage to BriaN K. Kline at the Hopewell United Methodist Church. Mr. Kline preceded her in death on June 17, 2014.
She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Leader, wife of Mike of Saxton, Son Gary Steele, husband of Erin of Hermitage, grandchildren, Nikki Johnson, wife of Levi of Huntingdon, Amy Hoover and companion John Gerholt of Hopewell, Lily Steele of Hermitage, great grandchildren, Kai Johnson of Huntingdon, Jadda Gerholt and unborn grandson, of Hopewell, Sister Pam Crooks, wife of Larry of Defiance, sister, Deanna Freeman as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Sharon Harding, a brother Barry Lemin, and nephews, Charles Crooks and Robert Freeman.
Louise was employed with Bedford Memorial Hospital, Home Nursing Agency, as well as Area Agency on Aging unitl her retirement and diagnosis with CLL.
She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, visits from her dear friend, Connie Stollings, fishing at the river behind her home, traveling to the Log Cabin Inn for Maryland Blue Crabs with various family members and summer “Crab Fests” at her home with friends and family.
At the request of the deceased there will be no services held.
