Fayetta Barber, 86, of Defiance, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
Born in Hopewell, Pa. on March 22, 1939, a daughter of the late Chester and Evelyn (Lynn) Wright.
She was united in marriage to Harold "Sonnie" Barber on January 14,1956 in Winchester, Va. Mr. Barber preceded her in death on November 20, 2014.
Surviving are 5 daughters, Cindy, Wife of Rick Drenning, Brenda, wife of Mike Simpson, Becky, wife of Will McDowell, Emily, wife of Bill Szeliga, and Amy, wife of Raymond Isenberg. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Christina and companion Steve, Jeremy and his wife Sanaa, and Lacey Drenning, Jessica and Eric Simpson, Stephanie Barber, Danielle and her husband Alex Marino, Sam Szeliga, Ryan Turner, Nicole Turner 6 great grandchildren, Griffin and Jaida Patterson, Gavin Shoup, Sunny and David Marino, Malika Drenning, as well as siblings, Paul Wright, husband of Linda, Leroy Wright, husband of Carol, and Alan Wright, husband of Carol as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She also has two surviving sister in laws Emily Deubner and Patricia wife of Dale Mummert.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David A. Barber, and grandchildren, Valarie Drenning, Billie Jo Barber, and Joshua Szeliga.
During her life she was primarily a homemaker, was affiliated with the Church of God, enjoyed doing puzzles, quilting, and crossword books and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 2 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Tim McIntyre officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the funeral service.
Interment will take place in the Duvall Cemetery, Six Mile Run, PA.
