Francis “Punch” Foster, 80, of Six Mile Run, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Nason Hospital in Roaring Spring.
Born in Everett on March 7, 1941, a son of the late John Marshall and Vera Inelia (Lybarger) Foster.
On October 17, 1965 in Cumberland, MD he was united in marriage to Ellen (Thompson) Foster who survives at their home.
Also surviving are a daughter, Tammy Denise Foster, sons Thomas William “Bill” Foster, Ralph Joseph “Joe” Foster, Kevin Scott Foster, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and a brother, Lawrence Foster.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean.
He enjoyed cutting firewood, hunting, fishing, shooting clay pigeons, guns, watching women’s softball, tennis, Discovery Chanel about Alaska, westerns, and making his flower beds.
During his life he was primarily a barber in Saxton, but also had worked in a stone quarry and drove snow plow.
He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as an MP.
Friends will be received on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 6-8 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. 5010 Railroad Ave. Broad Top City, PA. 16621.
There will be no other services conducted at the request of the deceased.
