Genevieve Edith (Hess) Black, 42, of Hopewell, passed away on Saturday, February, 9. 2019 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Born on August 20, 1976, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Eugene Hess Sr, and Statia Edith (Heldibridle) Hess who survives in Burnt Cabins, PA.
She enjoyed music, family and friends, and loved the outdoors, long walks, and summertime fishing.
Along with her mother, she is survived by sisters, Robin D. Burns, and Amy D. Sigmund, brother, Robert E. Hess, daughters, Brittany and Maggie Brown, granddaughter, Danielle Brown, her life partner, Brent Feathers, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Hess.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Riddlesburg Bible Church at 1 PM with Pastor Ron Forrester officiating.
Friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM
