Harold Thomas Love, 72, of Wood, passed away peacefully following a lengthy battle with cancer at Hershey Medical Center on February 13, 2026.
Born in Huntingdon on April 17, 1953, a son of the late Robert and Dorothy Mae (Freidhof) Love.
On February 14, 1979 he was united in marriage to Sherry (Leabhart) Love who survives at their home.
Along with his wife, he is survived by daughters, Ashley Love, Devon Love, daughter-in-law, Becky Love, grandchildren, Krysten, wife of Matt Fletcher, James Love and companion, Brianna Waters, Karey Love, Calin Love, great grandchildren, Ivy Fletcher, Jax Fletcher, Brynliegh Love, all of Wood. Also surviving are a sister, Brenda, wife of Randy Thompson, Roaring Spring, sister-in-law, Betty Love, Saxton, brother-in-law, Matt Wright, husband of Terri, Georgia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Jonathan Love and a brother, Robert Love.
He was a 1971 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School, then worked at Everite door for three years, the coal mines for 10 years, and the stone quarry for 35 years. He was a Wood Township Supervisor, a member of the Greater Broad Top Area Sportsman's, Saxton Sportsman's, Sons of the American Legion Post 126, Lifetime member of the RW&BT Vol Fire Co., President of the RW&BT Ambulance Division, and the C.C.A.W.
He enjoyed spending time with his best buddy Calin, plowing snow, eating breakfast with the Friday Crew, and when the tones dropped, calling 17-48 to station. He was a dedicated EMT for the RW&BT Ambulance for many years.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. from 10 AM - 1 PM with a funeral service taking place at 1 PM with Pastor Kathy Speck Officiating.
Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either the RW&BT Vol Fire Co, RW&BT Ambulance Division, or the charity of your choice.
