Herbert H. “Herb” Neville, 81, of Six Mile Run, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Born on May 10, 1934, in Broad Top City, he was a son of the late John H. and Marjorie (Black) Neville.
He is survived by his wife, Danielina “Dena” (Angelo) Neville at home, a daughter, Gail, wife of Lester Donelson, granddaughter, Sonni Donelson and Andrew S. Thompson, granddaughter Jesse L. Donelson and Clayton E. Stevey, great grandchildren, Morgan M. Thompson, Rylyn L. Rickabaugh, Chance E. Stevey, Daisy L. Stevey, and Wesly S. Thompson, Sisters, Agnes Neville, Joan Diehl widow of Earl “June”, Wanda Pederson wife of Fred, and Claudia Brindle wife of Jim, Brothers, Denny “Jim” Neville husband of Shirley, Gene Neville widower of Janet, Daniel “Danny” Neville husband of Collene, Tommy Neville husband of Cindy, William “A.J. Neville husband of Cindy, John Wayne Neville husband of Sandy, along with a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Cook Neville.
During his life he held memberships in the Broad Top American Legion Post 126, Saxton VFW Post 7129, Broad Top Sportsman Assn., Saxton Sportsman Assn. and the Moose. He enjoyed Hunting, Gardening, and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.
He was a Veteran of the US Army serving from 1953-1956 during the Korean Conflict. Following his service time he was employed by Western Electric in Baltimore for 30 years retiring in 1985 and moved back to Six Mile Run in 1986.
Friends will be received on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 6-8 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 11 AM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc.
Burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City, PA. with full military honors conducted by the Broad Top Area Honor Guard.
