Irvin Heath Obituary

Irvin E. Heath, 82, of Broad Top City, went to be with the Lord at his home on Sunday, August 22, 2021.
Born in Robertsdale on November 21, 1938, a son of the late Horace and Louella (Eichelberger) Heath Cooley and Step-Father Leland Cooley.
On January 7, 1974, he was United in marriage to Jane (Tobias) Heath who survives at their home.
A 1957 graduate of Robertsdale High School he was a multi sport athlete in which he excelled and was one of the highest letter winners in school history. He was a veteran of the US Army.
He enjoyed hunting and going to the local dirt track races to watch his son and his team race.
He was a coal miner until the mines closed and then finished his career working construction mostly running heavy equipment, last being for  Leon E. Wintermyer. He was a life member of the Broad Top Area Sportsman Assn. the Watson and Black Post 126 American Legion in Broad Top City, and a member of the former I.O.O.F. In Broad Top City. He also was involved when the R.W.&B.T. vol. fire company was being established. He was also the Vice President of the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. where he enjoyed helping after his retirement. He was extremely proud that he helped educate his sons, all three receiving degrees in their perspective careers.
Along with his wife he is survived by 3 sons, Richard I., husband of Robin of Hesston, Randall G., husband of Kim of Louisiana, and Curtis A., husband of Wendy of Broad Top City. Also surviving are grandchildren, Andrew Heath, husband of Chelsea, Derek Heath, Conner Heath, Andrea Altobelli, step grandchildren, Jeffrey Brode, Chelsey Detwiler, and step great grandchildren Aria and Aubree Detwiler, and a special grandson Landon Lemin who is being raised in his sons home, a sister Martha Whited, brothers, Roy Cooley, husband of Jayme, Mike Cooley, husband of Mary, Terry Cooley, husband of Joyce, and Wayne Cooley, husband of Terri. Also a brother in law Duane Tobias, sister in law Linda Muir sister-in-law Betty Heath, as well numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Thomas Heath.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Jeff Musser officiating at 11 AM.
Friends will be received on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 4-7 PM and again on Monday one hour prior to the service.
Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City with full military honors provided by the Broad Top Area Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either the  R.W.&BT Vol Fire Co. P.O. Box 8 Robertsdale pa 16674 or the  R.W.&BT ambulance division P.O. Box 7 Robertsdale PA 16674.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Jeff Musser officiating at 11 AM.
