Ithel Lynn Duvall, 78, of Broad Top City, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 21, 2026 surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Broad Top City on July 2, 1947,a son of the late Jess and Margaret Madeline (Rourke) Duvall.
He was united in marriage to Nancy, Lee (McKnight) Duvall on November 14, 1970 at the Broad Top Church of God. Mrs. Duvall survives at their home.
He had attended Tussey Mountain High School and then worked in the coal mines, Seton Leather Plant, the Broad Top Water Authority where he was the Vice President as well as maintenance for the water plant for many years.
He was a member of the Broad Top City Church of God since 2003 where he served on the council as president until his death.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a son, Doug Duvall and companion, Ashley Hart of Dillsburg, grandchildren, Jesse Duvall, husband of Jenna of Lacey Wa., Samantha Duvall, Dillsburg, Abbygail Duvall of Mechanicsburg, great grandchildren, Kyarn Duvall, Domingo Vazques IV, and Mariana Jane Vazquez. Also surviving are a sister, Rhonda, wife of Jerry Thompson, mother-in-law Hannah McKnight, sisters-in-law, Debra, wife of Rob Bumgardner, Barbara Heckman, Dorie McKnight, Patty, wife of Tom Rabenstein, brother-in-law, Sam McKnight, husband of Dena, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews in which he was very close to and loved very much just like his own.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister, Sherry Duvall, brother-in-law Ken Duvall, niece, Kimberly Burns, brother-in-law, Scott Heckman, nephew Eric Bumgardner, father-in-law Jack McKnight.
He loved his dogs and hunting trips with his son and all their phone calls. He especially loved hanging out in the garage with his buddies Kenny Black, David Neuder, and Jack Jones. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. to assist with expenses or to the Broad Top City Church of God.
