James Lee Foor

James Lee Foor, 79, of Six Mile Run, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Born in Six Mile Run on March 25, 1942, a son of the late Edward W. and Edna B. (Williams) Foor.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Marie Foor on October 19, 2008.

During his life he worked primarily as a coalminer and a logger, was a forest fire warden for over 40 years, was a member of the former Hopewell VFW Post 8634, and was of the Christian Faith.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are a daughter, Lee Ann Brennan, wife of Dan, sons, Anthony ”Jimbob” Foor, husband of Pamela, Shane Foor and fiancée Jennie Snyder, Daniel Foor, sisters, Sylvia Sidney Oaks, widow of Robert, Mary Catherine Steele, widow of Louis, Sandra Foor, wife of John, Nancy Carol Axon, wife of Bill, Patricia Shaffern, wife of Samuel, stepdaughters, Christine Neil, wife of Bruce, Cynthia Dodson, wife of Richard, stepson, Steven Snyder, and Edward Snyder, husband of Janet, as well as 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by the following siblings, Milford Paul “Smoke” Weaver, Eugene Weaver, Peggy Diane Foor, Donald Clare Foor, Cindy Foor, Charles “Bunk” Foor, and William “Bill” Foor.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family with interment in the Duvall Cemetery, Six Mile Run, PA.
