James Jones Obituary
James Henry Jones, 77, of Broad Top City, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.
Born on March 31, 1943, in Dudley, a son of the Late Ben and Martha Elizabeth (Sutors) Jones.
He attended the Tussey Mt. Schools then entered the US Army National Guard serving from 1964-1970 achieving the rank of SGT E5 and the Pennsylvania Service Ribbon, Sharpshooter Badge Rifle, and the General Thomas J. Steward Medal.
He worked as a truck driver throughout his life and was a life member of the Saxton Sportsmen and the American Legion, Post 126, Broad Top City.
Surviving are children; Paula Stair, wife of Don, Dudley, PA., Daniel Jones, Broad Top City, PA, Holli Hamman, wife of Jeremy, Broad Top City, PA., Thomas Zdrosky, husband of Kathy, Wood, PA., Marcy Lemin, Saxton, PA, Jamie Jones and companion, Eric Pawuk, Saxton, PA. Also surviving are the following grandchildren; Bethany Thomas, wife of Tyler, Brock Jones, Brandy Runk, Ben Stair, husband of Shannon, Megan Stair and fiancée Tyler Bodenschatz, Kaylin Edsall, wife of Josh, Holden Zdrosky and fiancée Bree, Olivia Zdrosky and fiancée Daniel Marshall, Taylor Lemin, Paiton Black, Alexis Snyder, Haylie Taylor, Ryan Weimert and fiancée Amanda Hiquet, Maria Runk, and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Noon on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Church of God Tabernacle in Saxton with Pastor Chris Clinger officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will take place in the Dudley Methodist Cemetery.
Those in attendance will be asked to follow the recommendations set forth by the CDC, State of Pennsylvania, and the church regarding the Covid-19 Pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 School House Hollow Road, Huntingdon, PA. 16652.
