James M. "Jim" Weaver, 89, of Six Mile Run, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 1, 2026 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Born in Six Mile Run on January 18, 1937, a son of the late Walter and Louemma (Mort) Weaver.
On April 13, 1957, he was united in marriage to Doris L. (Salkeld) Weaver at the Raven Run Church of the Brethren. Mrs. Weaver preceded him in death.
He was a 1956 graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School. He was a proud member of the Carpenters Union as well as the Six Mile Run Fire Company, and several sportsman's clubs, VFW's and Legions in the area.
During his life he was an avid hunter in the areas of West Virginia and Pennsylvania. He also enjoyed fishing, spending time with friends and family as well as teasing his many grandchildren.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Donna Fessler of Six Mile Run, Doris Snyder of York, a son, Jeffrey Weaver of Huntingdon, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jim was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Along with his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Weaver, great grandson, Dominic Aller, brother George Weaver, and a step brother, Gerald Johnson.
Friends will be received on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 9:30-11 AM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. with a funeral service starting at 11 AM with Joe Morrow speaking. Interment will take place in Duvall Cemetery, Six Mile Run, Pa.
