Jean May Dunn, 80, of Saxton, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at her home peacefully under hospice care.
Born in Huntingdon, PA on April 26, 1940, a daughter of the late Paul Calvin and Helen Irene (Shoemaker) Savitts.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, William C. Dunn at their home, daughters, Brenda Jean Winters, and Karen Marie Doyon, a son, Daniel John Winters, a sister Shirley Irene Savitts, as well as 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Paul Winters, and two brothers, James Paul Savitts and Paul Harry Savitts.
She was a graduate of Tyrone school class of 1958, and received nurses training in Altoona from 1958 to 1960. She was raised in the Methodist faith and worked in home health care, also worked as secretary, and and as an EMT. Her memberships included the Saxton Vol. Fire Co., Peggy’s Kitchen, Huntingdon Co. Sherriff’s Possy, as well as volunteering for the American Red Cross and the local election board.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Grandview Cemetery, Saxton, PA.
