Jeffrey Alan Gates, 60, of Claysburg, formerly of Dudley, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022.
Born in Huntingdon on October 11, 1961, a son of the late William “Bill” Gates and Elsie (Bollman) Gates who survives in Dudley.
He was a life member of the Roaring Spring VFW, a member of the Claysburg American Legion, and was a graduate of Tussey Mt. High School and then served in the US Navy during the Gulf War as a BM3
Along with his mother he is survived by twin boys, Isaac P. Gates, and wife Brittany Jo (Kurtz) of Phillipsburg, Zachariah T. Gates, and wife Lindsey (Fosselman) of Tyrone, sisters, Chrystal and companion Bill Malinowsky of Leola, Patty wife of Barry Leonard of Saxton, Leann, wife of Rusty Dixon of Six Mile Run, Melissa Lusk of Lashmeet WV, Billie-Jo, wife of Steve Meck of Saxton, Brother Philip Black, husband of Lisa of Waterfall, grandchildren, Effie Annabelle, and Declan Gates, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his best friend David Halbritter of Martinsburg and his dog KillRoy.
He was preceded in death by his father, a granddaughter, Elouise Gates, a brother in law, Michael Lusk, and three infant siblings.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 11 AM with Pastor Rob Reed officiating at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in the Grandview Cemetery, Saxton, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled Veterans of America.
