Jerry L Smith

Jerry L. Smith, 77, of Robertsdale, passed away on May 20, 2025 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown.

Born in Huntingdon, Pa on June 10, 1947, a son on the late Robert Rickabaugh, Madeline (Johnson) Bollinger, and was reared in his grandparents home, Agnes and Kelly Smith.

On October 9, 1966, he was united in marriage to Cheryl D. (Neuder) Smith at the Robertsdale Church of God. Mrs. Smith survives at their home.

During his life he worked in the coalmines, construction, and last on rights-of-ways for Penn Line Service. During his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, building things for his wife, watching football games and NASCAR.

Along with his wife he is survived by daughters, Michelle Swope and son-in-law Bradley Swope, and Diane McIntyre, wife of Travis, grandchildren, Kendra, wife of Ben Jozefick, Alicia Swope and partner T.J. Barnhart, Kayla Swope, wife of Spencer Winters, Tre McIntyre, Tyanna McIntyre, Timitri McIntyre, as well as great grandchildren, Joza, Zoja, Thatcher, Avie, Teague, and siblings, Walter Bollinger, husband of Cheryl, Gary Bolinger, husband of Deb, Joyce, wife of Steve Kelly, Lenora Smay, Bill Rickabaugh, Freddie Rickabaugh, Shawn Rickabaugh, Kelly Rickabaugh, Debbie Rickabaugh, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Precededin him in death were his parents and grandparents, as well as a infant child, Gerry Darlene, Smith, siblings, LaDonna, Jacqueline, Bobby, Mary, Veryl, Jim, Junior, and Peggy.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 6-8 PM at the Robertsdale Church of God. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 11 AM also at the church with Pastor Jared Fields officiating.

Burial will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City.
