John David Ferguson, 67, of Saxton passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Born in Roaring Spring on December 18, 1951, a son of the late Howard Bartley and Theresa Agatha (Brennan) Ferguson.
He was a 1969 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School and a 1971 graduate of Williamsport Community College with a degree in automotive technology, also receiving factory training from General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler. He loved cars, drag racing, his family, and his two dogs, Rex and Cooter, and his cat Ms. Kitty.
Surviving are children, Trisha Childers, wife of C.J., Bobbie Jo Baker, Cheryl Sullivan, wife of Jeremy, and David Metz, and companion Jesse Locke. Grandchildren, Lindsay, Marcus, Bradley, Crystal, Kevin, Takoda, Christian, Damian, and Ethan. Greatgrandchildren, Aurora, Jaxon, Chase, Dawson, Katie, and Kayden, as well as a large extended family.
Also surviving are his longtime helper, Kevin Heath as well as numerous longtime friends and work associates.
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 6-8 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home, Broad Top City, PA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 2PM at the funeral home with Pastor Tim McIntyre officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the donors local chapter of the Humane Society.
