John Hann Obituary

John R. Hann, 69, of Wood, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 after an extended

illness. Born in Joller, PA on December 8, 1953, a son of the late Ralph Hann and Velma (Dell) Lightner.

He is survived by his son Matthew Hann, his wife Destiny and their children – Lincoln, Myles, and a

granddaughter on the way of Wood; and his daughter Lindsey Eichelberger, her husband Trevor and their

children – Camden, Owen, and Gavin of New Enterprise. He is also survived by brothers; Wesley (Robin)

Hann, Lanny Hann, Larry Hann, sisters; Linda Tulowitzki, and Cheryl (Roger) Curfman, many nieces and

nephews, caregiver Carson Zelanko, and life-long friends the Bonnie and Duane Williams family. Along

with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jean Bollinger.

John was a 1972 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School. He was employed at Grove as a welder, K.W.

Reese as a tree climber and Supervisor, and JLG as a welder and an assembler. John enjoyed spending

time with his sidekick Abby, gardening, hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions

can be made to the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
