John E. Putt, 82, of Saxton, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.
Born in Broad Top City on May 9, 1938, he was a son of the late Ralph R. and Pearl E. (Neville) Putt.
On April 18, 1959, in Cumberland Maryland, he was united in marriage to Anna May (Darr) Putt who survives at their home in Saxton.
During his life he worked out of the Operator Engineers Union Local #66B retiring as a lead mechanic and just received his 55 year pin.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, tinkering, and especially his beagle Buster.
Along with his wife he is survived by a daughter, Marcy Putt, three sons, Raymond Putt, William Michael Putt, Bryan Putt, husband of Melissa. Also surviving are grandchildren, Ryan, Elizabeth, Britany, Marcus & Matthew (twins), Saria, 8 great grandchildren, sisters, Lola, Catherine, Nancy and brother Alan.
He was preceded in death by a great grandchild and a sister Jean.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
