Joseph William Smith Jr., 48, of Hopewell, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019.
Born on May 29, 1971, a son of Linda S. (Lemin) and Joseph William Smith Sr. both whom survive in Robertsdale.
On September 22, 2001, at the Church of God Tabernacle in Saxton, he was united in marriage to Beth (Jenkins) Smith who survives at their home.
He was a 1989 graduate of Tussey Mt. High School and attended Allegheny Co. Community College and Slippery Rock University receiving a degree in environmental science.
He was currently employed at JLG Industries as a forklift operator and enjoyed being involved with the local kids sports.
Along with his parents and his wife he is survived by step children, Brent Miller and companion Alexis Meck, Brandon Miller, and Brittany McFarland, wife of T.J. also surviving are grandchildren Oaklee Miller who was being raised in the home, Brady Miller, Bailee Miller, Karson McFarland, Lelynd McFarland, Alyvia McFarland, and Bryce Miller. A sister Candice Benton, husband Bob, and their children, Cara and Carter, and Maternal Grandmother Donna Lemin also survive as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles Nieces and Nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. from 5-7 PM where a funeral service will take place at 7 PM with Pastor Nathan Starr Officiating.
