Kaitlin Brooke Reed, 28, of Saxton, passed away on October 14, 2021 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh due to complications from Covid-19.
Born in Bedford on March 8, 1993, a daughter of Tracie Lynn Reed who passed away 3 days later.
Surviving are a brother, Jonathan Adam Reed of Saxton, adopted dad, Millard Starr of Saxton, grandmother, Vivian L. Reed of Saxton, aunts, Tonya Knechtel, wife of Kirk of Hopewell, Trudy Cook, wife of Jay of Huntingdon, uncles, Terry Reed, husband of Connie, of Dudley, Timothy Reed, husband of Bonnie of Ephrata. Also surviving are a special friend, Brittany Willis and her 2 children, Dereck and Cloe whom she dearly loved.
Preceding her in death were her grandfather, William K. Reed, great grandparents, Fred O. and Ruth A. Thompson, and Edith Reed.
She had a great love for her dog Brody who she had for 8 years and passed away in 2020 in which she was heart broken.
She also got a new dog, Walker that she had 6 months who misses her greatly. They were inseparable.
She was a very outgoing, happy, loved to laugh, and loved her friends and family and was always willing to help in whatever need be. She had a very special relationship with her grandmother Vivian Reed who was always there to help her. She also loved going to sporting events to help with what she could and take photos of the players.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Broad Top City, with Pastor William Hall officiating at 2 PM. Friends are invited to gather at the graveside one hour prior to the service.
