Kenneth Blaine Singer, 72, of Six Mile Run, passed away at his home on Monday, January 25, 2021.
Born in Six Mile Run on September 6, 1948, a son of the late Lewis Pete and Alma Jean (Hedges) Singer.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Jean (Neuder) Singer at their home, a son, Ken Singer, husband of Tabbitha, Robertsdale, a daughter Melinda, wife of Marty Wise, Three Springs, 9 grandchildren, Garrett Singer, Devin Singer, Kennedy Sprenkle, Megan Buchy, Rachel Burkett, Paige Walker, Chantel Wise, Aiden Wise, Randy Wise, and Seantelle Fry, 1 great grandchild, Kenann Singer, siblings, Jerry Singer, husband of Terry, Baltimore, MD, Danny Singer, husband of Peg, Six Mile Run, Richard Singer, husband of Connie, Six Mile Run, Kevin Singer, husband of Wanda of Six Mile Run, Linda McElwee, Six Mile Run, Renee Hagerty, Youngstown, OH, Viola Duvall, Saxton, sisters-in-law, Shirley Hedges, and Diane Singer.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Rodney Hedges and Eddie Singer, and a brother-in-law Robert Hagerty.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era, later working construction installing guardrail for various companies and finally for JLG Industries as a Boom Welder.
He was a member of the Broad Top Land Lease and the Six Mile Run American Legion, was an avid hunter, and loved to go to the local dirt track races with their family racing team.
A private funeral service will be held by the family by invitation due to the restrictions on numbers at gatherings.
Friends will be received on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. from 11 AM-12:30 PM and will follow the guidelines and regulations set forth by the CDC, the State of Pennsylvania, and the funeral home regarding the Covid-19 Pandemic.
At the request of the deceased, please dress casual and if possible wear your favorite racing attire to honor Ken.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either the Six Mile Run Vol. Fire Co. 1064, Six Mile Run Road, Six Mile Run, PA. 16679, or to the Six Mile Run American Legion, P.O. Box 97, Six Mile Run, PA. 16679.
