Lois J. Smith, 85, of James Creek, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Homewood at Martinsburg.
Born in Six Mile Run, Pa on August 21, 1939, a daughter of the late Harry E. and Helen B. (Aller) Ritchey.
On January 6, 1961 in Winchester, VA, she was united in marriage to Warren T. Smith who survives at their home.
She was a member of the Stonerstown Church of the Brethren since 1958 and also served as a Deacon. She was also a 1957 graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School, and enjoyed shopping and crafting.
Along with her husband, she is survived by a son, Mark Smith, husband of Rhonda, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and siblings, Doris K. Rourke, Judy A. Glass, Patricia Richards, Frederick Ritchey, and Randy Ritchey, as well as lifelong friend Tammy, wife of Paul Mickel who was like a daughter.
She was preceded in death by siblings, William Junior Ritchey and Lester Duane Ritchey.
Services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 12 Noon at the Stonerstown Church of the Brethren with Pastor Mary Garvey officiating. Friends will be received from 11 AM until the start of the funeral service.
Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City, PA.
