Margaret "Margy" (Brooks) Wilson

Margaret "Margy" Wilson, 95, of Westminster Woods, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the home.

Born in Huntingdon, PA, on January 23, 1928, a daughter of the late Louis and Edna (Sheasley) Brooks.

On March 14, 1947 at the St. James Lutheran Church she was united in marriage to George B. Wilson Jr. by the Rev. Edward Manges. Mr. Wilson preceded her in death on February 16, 2019.

She was a 1945 graduate of Huntingdon High School and then later in life went on to receive an associates degree as an LPN.

Her employment was with J.C. Blair Hospital for 45 years as a switchboard operator, a medical secretary, and later an LPN.

During her life she enjoyed doing genealogy and collecting stuffed teddy bears. She was a member of the Huntingdon Presbyterian Church, the Red Hat Society, and held a life time membership to the Huntingdon County Historical Society.

Surviving are sons, Dennis R. Wilson, husband of Carol of Glen Mills, PA, Larry B. Wilson of Huntingdon, Terry A. Wilson, husband of Denise of Huntingdon, Jeffrey W. Wilson, husband of Jeanette of James Creek, A daughter, Cynthia Wood of Alexandria, grandsons, Eric Wilson, husband of Amanda and their children, Hayden and Cassie and Ryan Taylor and his children, Christian, Conner, Samuel, and Adalia.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Brooks, a sister, Martha Henderson, and a granddaughter, Amanda C. Burnett.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Interment will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Petersburg, PA.
