Martin Dale Bolinger Sr., 93, of Calvin, formerly of Woodvale, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 13, 2023.
Born in Defiance, PA on February 9, 1930, a son of the late Martin E. and Naomi (Nead) Bolinger.
Surviving are his wife, Fayette P. Bolinger, Children; Mark, James, Lisa, Martin Jr., and Christine, Step-Children, Barbara, Francis, Tammy, Steven, and Mark, as well as numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family being preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ernest D. Bolinger, Grover S. Bolinger, Roy J. Bolinger, a sister, Eva M. Rosenberry, and a son, David M. Bolinger.
He served over 20 years in the United States Air Force being honorably discharged in 1969 as a Chief Master Sargent. He recieved his BA from the University of Maryland then working as a personnel director in the medical field.
He was a life member of the American Legion and the NRA, as well as being a member of the Lions Club and the Coal Miners Museum in Robertsdale.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 2 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City, PA. with full military honors provided by the Broad Top Area Honor Guard.
