Mary Louise (Brantner) Cooley

Mary Louise (Brantner) Cooley, 75, of Mercersburg, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born in Bedford, Pa on March 10, 1951, a daughter of the late Bernard B. and Lillie Mae (Costigan) Brantner.

She was a graduate of Everett High School and was of the Baptist Faith last attending Mt. Ivy Baptist Church. She was primarily a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crafting, baking and spending time with her family. 

On July 24, 1970, she was united in marriage to Michael John Cooley who survives at their home. Also surviving are daughters, Christy (Tim), Missy (Joe), Sarah (Joshua), Wendy (Steve), grandchildren, Sabrina, Joey, Dustin, Autumn, Hunter, Caidy, Mary, James, Sean, Alyssa, Josiah, Jonathan, great grandchildren, Alaina, Benji, Jade, Harper, Luna, Jaxon, Evelyn, siblings, Ronald (Leona), Leila (Tim), Nancy (Jerry), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Abby Mae Williams, and brothers, Jack and Bernard Brantner.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. at 1 PM with Pastor Daryl Wenger officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service time.

Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City, PA.
