Norma Jean Miller, 72, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Born in Aitch, Pa on June 15, 1949, a daughter of the late, Solomon G. “Sollie” and Leona (Wentz) Norris.
On May 31, 1968 in Hesston, Pa. she was united in marriage to Russell J. Miller who survives at their home.
She was a graduate of Huntingdon High School and was a member of Jacob’s Church in Hesston. Prior to her retirement she worked at Warnaco and after retirement she would babysit her grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Russell J. Miller, she is survived by the following family, Daughters, Penny S. Swope, wife of Jeffrey, Sherry A. McCloskey, wife of Brian, Cathy J. Baker, wife of Larry, Son, Russell J. “Rusty” Miller Jr., husband of Tonya, Grandchildren, Chelsey, Krista, Tyler, Devin, Thomas, Lauren, Michael, Gracynn, Jackson, Tiffany, Brandon, Ryan, Cory, Sadie, Alyssa, Debbie, Skyler, Autumn, Great Grandchildren, Xander, Addison, Maverick, Blake, Tyson, Lainee, Kaylee Grace Louise, Pryceton, Aidan, Brian, Collin, Desmond. Siblings, Terry Norris, Donna Thompson, Charles Norris, Sandy Kidd, Dennis Norris. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Kenneth and Thomas Norris.
During her life she enjoyed babysitting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and also enjoyed shopping.
Friends will be received on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 10AM-12 Noon at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. where a funeral service will immediately follow at 12 Noon with Pastor Lloy Blattenberger officiating.
Interment will take place in the Stone Church Cemetery, Markelsburg, PA.
